Creature Crazy Boys!

These boys are crazy about anything that crawls! Talk about being, ALL BOY! They have even convinced Little Lady Llyonesse that kissing certain kinds of snakes is good for you! Non-poisonous of course! Mommy says, "YUCK! Not my only sweet girl!"
The information these boys could tell you about different creatures and their living habits is amazing, which of course they learned from walking though nature with their adventurous, daddy! :) One of Troy's other interests. Maybe some day he'll discover a new species in some remote jungle location on one of our family safari's!!!

Daddy's the Fisher of Men!

All the our Men, ready to head to the creek for an afternoon of male bonding!
The best day ever!!! Right Rivyr?

Count Down to AWANA!

Iylland is Joseph, with his coat of many colors! Rivyr is King Solomon, in all his splendor! (The material should look familiar to the magic people in the family! ;)
This Fall, Iylland and Rivyr have been involved in the AWANA program and they have really enjoyed it!! Every week Iylland counts down the days, sometimes he even makes paper chains to tear off each day. AWANA is a program completely focused on teaching children to memorize scripture and the more they learn and retain the more jewels they get to put in their flight wings. One week Iylland memorized 9 verses!! Whoa! His teacher wasn't expecting that, I don't think. Rivyr's big week has been 3, which he is so happy about!! They really like their SPARKy leaders! They have the best time going! Daddy and I have been able to take turns and help out where they need us, if they need us. I just love watching the children light up when they learn how big & amazing & awesome our Abba Father is! Iylland and Rivyr both love the scriptures and God, so much. It is a beautiful pureness and so sweet to witness. We talk much of when they will be men and the plan our Master has for them! They ask questions each day and are looking so forward to the time that God will lead them and their families. They have begun to pray daily for their wives! It is so precious, I cherish it so, in my heart, as a mother!

They Love to Build!

Iylland and Rivyr have always loved to build out of whatever they can find to use.
This afternoon they built with sticks and used leaves for the carpet! :)
Of course, the little ones were a big help as well!
The weather has been beautiful!!!! No Bugs! Yeah!

EGGS! Beautiful Brown Jewels!

The children took care of the chickens while Nana & Grandpa were visiting their wonderful new cousin, Sullivan.
We really enjoyed the eggs, it will be hard not having a dozen a day! Thanks ladies!!! (pretty hens)
Daddy said we will be able to have goats and kittens in the Spring. All of us especially Rivyr and Llyonesse are looking forward to that!!!!

Do you know the Muffin Girl? She lives in our yurt!

Little Llyonesse is quite the muffin baker! She loves to cook and really enjoys giving her creations to her little princess friends. We thought we'd share with you our favorite recipe in case you'd like to try it!

Vanilla Moon Muffins(We call them Moon because as they rise it's like a full moon!)
1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla

3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. oil

1/2 c. sugar(honey, sucanat, etc)

3 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

2 c. flour

1/2-1 c. shredded coconut

1 c. raisins

Mix liquids together. Andronicus really likes this part! Add dry ingredients and stir in coconut for moistness and raisins. Cook in mini loaf, mini muffin, muffin, little heart pans, whatever your family enjoys! 400* for 15-25 minutes depending on the pan.
Yummy!!! We're to the point that we have to make at least a double batch now! These freeze really well, too!! Enjoy!

Turkey Hats! Happy Thanksgiving!

We sang and read poems at a Veteran's home today! These are the hats the children made right before we paraded through the building with friends chanting "Happy Thanksgiving to you!" and playing percussion instruments! The residents seemed to really enjoy the action and Rivyr of course had already been warmed up to the idea of a microphone from Aunt Andria's wedding last weekend! We had a great time!
