I've been reading Noah Blake's Diary to the children and they have been enjoying hearing what a boy their age was interested in. We broke out the feather pen and ink so the children could try it. It was a hit!!! They loved drawing and writing!

I just requested this book from my library. I still remember visiting the Eric Sloane museum here in CT when I was a child. The cabin that Sloane built....the one described in The Diary of an Early American Boy is there too.
